What types of trading cards do you buy?
BuyPittsburgh primarily buys Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering cards, including singles, graded cards, vintage cards, sealed products, and collections.
We may also purchase select sports cards and other collectibles when they have strong resale demand.
Do you buy Pokémon cards?
Yes. We buy Pokémon cards from many different eras, including vintage cards, modern cards, graded cards, valuable singles, sealed products, and collections.
We are especially interested in desirable cards with meaningful resale value.
Do you buy Magic: The Gathering cards?
Yes. We buy Magic: The Gathering singles, graded cards, older and collectible cards, sealed products, and collections.
Condition, edition, rarity, demand, and recent sales all affect what we can offer.
Do you buy sports cards?
Yes. We selectively buy sports cards. Our main interest is higher-value, liquid cards, especially desirable graded cards and cards of well-known players with established resale demand.
Large quantities of inexpensive modern sports cards generally are not a fit for us.
Do you buy damaged cards?
Yes. Damaged cards can still have value, especially if the card itself is desirable or valuable.
Damage will affect the amount we can offer, so please send clear front and back photos along with close-ups of any creases, dents, whitening, scratches, water damage, or other issues.
We generally are not interested in damaged low-value bulk cards.
Do you buy bulk cards?
No, we generally do not purchase large quantities of common or low-value bulk cards.
If your collection contains vintage cards, graded cards, valuable singles, holos, special rarities, or other desirable cards, we may still be interested in those portions of the collection.
If you are unsure, send us a few photos and we can take a look.
Do you buy graded cards?
Yes. We buy graded trading cards.
Cards graded by PSA or BGS are preferred but other recognized grading companies may be considered depending on the card, grade, demand, and current market.
Do you buy entire collections?
Yes. We consider both individual cards and entire collections.
For larger collections, sending clear overview photos along with close-ups of the most valuable cards is usually the best place to start.
Do you buy sealed products?
Yes. We may purchase sealed Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering products depending on the item, condition, demand, and current market.
Send photos and the exact product name when possible.
Do you trade?
Yes. BuyPittsburgh may consider trades depending on the cards or collectibles involved.
Trades are evaluated case by case based on condition, demand, liquidity, and current market value. Cash deals are generally preferred, but we are open to the right trade.
How do I get an offer?
The easiest way is to submit photos through our cash offer form or contact us directly.
Include:
- Clear front and back photos
- The names of important cards if known
- Photos of graded cards showing the full slab
- Any significant condition issues
- Your general location if you are interested in meeting locally

How are offers determined?
Offers are based on factors such as:

There is no single percentage that applies to every card or collection.
How long does it take to receive an offer?
Most offers are sent within 24 hours.
More complicated collections, unusual cards, or submissions requiring additional research may take longer.
Am I required to accept an offer?
No.
All offers are no obligation. You are free to accept or decline.
Can I meet you locally?
Yes. BuyPittsburgh offers Pittsburgh-area meetups by appointment.
Once we review your cards and agree on a deal, we can arrange a convenient meeting location.
Can I ship cards to you?
Yes. Sellers outside the immediate Pittsburgh area can ship cards to us.
For higher-value shipments, we recommend secure packaging, tracking, and appropriate insurance.
Contact us before shipping so we can discuss the cards and the process first.
What photos should I send?
Clear photos help us evaluate your cards faster.
For individual cards, send:
- Front
- Back
- Close-ups of damage or wear
- The entire grading slab if graded
For larger collections, start with clear group photos and close-ups of the most valuable or unusual cards.
Can you tell me exactly what my card is worth from one photo?
Sometimes we can give you a general idea, but accurate pricing often requires knowing the exact card, set, version, condition, and recent sales.
For valuable cards, clear front and back photos are important.
We will not intentionally guess at a value when there is not enough information.
Can you authenticate my cards?
We can look for common signs of counterfeit cards, but no single photo or test can guarantee authenticity in every situation.
Some cards may require closer inspection before we are comfortable purchasing them.
Do you buy fake or counterfeit cards?
No.
BuyPittsburgh does not knowingly purchase counterfeit trading cards.
Do you only buy expensive cards?
No, but we focus primarily on cards and collections with enough resale value to make a transaction worthwhile.
A collection does not need to contain only expensive cards, but we generally are not looking to purchase large quantities of very low-value cards by themselves.
Do you sell trading cards too?
Yes. BuyPittsburgh also sells trading cards and collectibles.

What if I don’t know what my cards are worth?
That’s fine.
You do not need to research every card before contacting us. Send clear photos of what you have, especially anything older, holographic, graded, unusual, or potentially valuable.
We can determine whether the collection is something we are interested in.
What if I have something that isn’t listed here?
If it is a trading card, collectible, or related item with meaningful resale value, we are happy to take a look.
